HL Deb 14 March 1991 vol 527 cc10-1WA
Lord Brougham and Vaux

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What is their human rights policy in respect of foreign countries.

The Earl of Caithness:

We continue to develop an active and comprehensive human rights policy. It would not be possible to do it justice in a single document. We have however recently made public as a foreign policy document the guidelines issued to our posts abroad and FCO departments at the end of last year. I am arranging to place a copy of the document, under the title Human Rights in Foreign Policy, in the library of the House.
