§ Mr. SillarsTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what reduction in income Greater Glasgow health board will face during 1991–92 because of share parity adjustment; and what further such parity adjustment reduction may be anticipated for 1991–93.
§ Mr. Michael ForsythGreater Glasgow health board was allocated £536.073 million for revenue expenditure purposes in 1991–92, an increase in base allocation of 7.6 per cent. over the 1990–91 level. This is £13 million less than would have been allocated to them if the national average increase had been applied. The £13 million was redistributed among the other 14 health boards to achieve a more equitable distribution of resources.
No decisions have yet been taken on allocations for 1992–93.
