HC Deb 11 March 1991 vol 187 cc382-3W
Mr. Speller

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment by how much the Devon and Cornwall 'TEC budget for adult training has been reduced in the current year; what plans he has to reinstate these cuts; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Jackson

The contract with Devon and Cornwall TEC is at present subject to negotiation.

Mr. Speller

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what representations he has received from TECs over delays in announcing financial arrangements for the current year and over the withdrawal of approval for courses without prior consultation or notice.

Mr. Jackson

I have received several representations from TECs on a variety of financial issues. It is for TECs themselves to decide on the arrangements for contracting with training providers.
