To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will invite the Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service to meet the North of England building society and the Banking, Insurance and Finance Union to discuss arrangements by which the request of the building society's staff to be represented by the union could be considered.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will invite the Advisory Conciliation and Arbitration Service to meet the North of England building society and the Banking, Insurance and Finance Union to discuss arrangements by which the wishes of the building society's staff to be represented by the union can be met.
