§ Mr. Peter LloydThe establishment of the Northumbria police is 3,552. Following an application for 87 additional police posts in 1991–92, my right hon. Friend has approved 26 with effect from 10 October 1991 provided that the police authority is prepared to meet its share of the cost of these posts.
