§ Mr. DorrellWe do not collect centrally information about the number of cancelled operations. In the year ending March 1990, 582–4 per cent. of the total—scheduled theatre sessions were cancelled in the Liverpool health authority. These sessions may have been taken up by other consultant specialties.
Details of the number of beds available and the number of hospitals open are given in the table.
