HC Deb 06 March 1991 vol 187 c205W
23. Mr. Foulkes

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make it his policy not to approve applications for national health service trust status which are not supported by the majority of the relevant medical staff.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

Neither this nor previous Governments have made decisions on major changes in the national health service dependent on this criterion.

37. Mr. Doran

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland which hospitals in Scotland have now expressed an interest in trust status.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

Six expressions of interest have been received from South Ayrshire, Foresterhill (Aberdeen), RSNH (Larbert), Forfar, Victoria Infirmary (Glasgow) and the west Grampian group of hospitals.
