HC Deb 06 March 1991 vol 187 c158W
Mr. Conway

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he plans to review the registration fee payable under the Data Protection Act 1984.

Mr. Kenneth Baker

The triennial registration fee is intended to recover the costs of the Office of the Data Protection Registrar. Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary order, the Government propose to increase it from £56 to £75 from 1 June 1991.
