§ Mr. CartwrightTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will list those local education authorities who are currently employing licensed teachers indicating (i) the numbers employed by each authority, (ii) how many are graduates and (iii) how many are non-graduates who met the necessary criteria.
§ Mr. FallonOn 28 February 439 licensed teachers were employed by local education authorities in England and Wales and, of these, 290 were graduates. The number of licensed teachers employed by individual local education authorities is as follows:
