To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what has been the change in the level of aid to Peru since the election of President Fujimori.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (1) what was the total of aid flows from the United Kingdom to the Andean group of countries in each of the last five years;

(2) what percentage of United Kingdom aid flowing to the Andean group of countries is linked to income-generation projects;

(3) what percentage of United Kingdom aid flowing to South American countries is linked to income-generation projects.

Details of total United Kingdom aid flows to the countries of the Andean Pact including Peru, in the last five years for which figures are available, are given in the following table:

were earmarked over the next three years, including £850,000 in 1990–91. The Department is currently discussing with Lambeth the final form of the application. It is unlikely that there will be any estate action expenditure incurred on the scheme in the current financial year.
