To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many people were registered on local authority and Scottish Homes waiting lists in each year since 1980; what proportion were existing tenants requesting a transfer; and if he will make a statement.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the total revenue gathered by the sale of(a) local authority and (b) Scottish Homes houses to sitting tenants in each year since 1980; and if he will make a statement.

Receipts from the sale of local authority and Scottish Homes/SSHA houses since 1980 are shown in the table. Total receipts to local authorities amount to £1.557 billion and to Scottish Homes/SSHA £0.354 billion, a grand total of £1.911 billion.
