§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeA total of 200 schools have now voted in favour of seeking grant-maintained status. We have approved 88 and rejected 13. Fifty-four schools have published proposals which will soon come to us for decision. Forty-five schools are currently committed to publish proposals following parental ballots in favour of seeking grant-maintained status.
