§ Mrs. RumboldNeither victim details nor ethnic origin of defendants are recorded in the national criminal statistics system. Information on a sample of offenders from six prisons and their victims was given on pages 15–17 and 54 of "The imprisoned rapist and rape" by D. Grubin and J. Gunn, published by the Home Office on 4 March 1991, a copy of which is in the Library. The latest readily available information about offenders serving custodial sentences for rape is published in table 1.12 of "Prison statistics England and Wales 1989"—Cm. 1221—a copy of which is in the Library.
