HC Deb 18 June 1991 vol 193 c86W
Mr. Madden

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what representations he has received concerning delays to parts of the West Yorkshire rail electrification scheme.

Mr. McLoughlin

[holding answer 17 June 1991]: Since the middle of May we have received four letters.

Mr. Madden

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make it his policy to ensure that all parts of the West Yorkshire rail electrification scheme proceed as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. McLoughlin

[holding answer 17 June 1991]: Credit approvals have already been reserved for the infrastructure costs of this project, and we shall be considering resources for the rolling stock as a matter of urgency when decisions are taken on the allocation of credit approvals for 1992–93.
