To ask the Secretary of State for Defence when he last met representatives of Krauss Maffei to discuss the Chieftain replacement programme.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence has had no meetings with representatives of the company to discuss this issue since taking up office. Representatives of Krauss Maffei called on me on 6 June 1991.
