HC Deb 17 June 1991 vol 193 c64W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list by regional health authority, and by year for the last 10 years, the number of cases of trachoma that have been diagnosed in the age groups(a) up to five years of age, (b) six to 15 years, (c) 16 to 30 years, (d) 30 to 60 years and (e) over 60 years; and if he will show in his answer what percentage this is of the population for each age group.

Mr. Dorrell

Information on the number of cases of trachoma diagnosed each year is not held centrally. Approximately 10 cases a year are treated as in-patients in NHS hospitals in England.
