§ Mr. RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list the full-time and part-time public apointments for which his Department was responsible for each of the past five years, together with the salary and the date when each appointment is due for renewal.
§ Mr. DorrellMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State is responsible for a number of full and part-time public appointments. Details of each of these could be provided only at disproportionate cost. However information is available from the Cabinet Office publication "Public Bodies" and "Public Appointments: A Handbook for Women's Organisations". Copies are available in the Library.64W disproportionate cost. The table shows reports of acute hepatitis B to the Public Health Laboratory Service's communicable disease surveillance centre for the years 1980 to 1990 inclusive by English health regions, and in the age groupings sought, as far as is possible. Comparison with populations would not produce a true incidence of hepatitis B because some cases are confirmed in laboratories outside the regions in which they occur. The number of reports of acute hepatitis B to the CDSC declined from 1,889 in 1984 to 526 in 1990.
