To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will give the dates of commencement of the review of pesticide active ingredients for all those that are currently under review.

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list all the pesticide active ingredients which he has decided not to review; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Gummer

The pesticide active ingredients which are not yet subject to routine review by the Advisory Committee on Pesticides are those which have been approved from 1981 onwards.

Member for South Shields of 6 June,Official Report, columns 340–43, if he will make a statement on the reasons for including some pesticide active ingredients in the list for having had the reviews completed and also on a list of those currently under review.

The list of pesticide active ingredients in my previous answer was annotated with "P" for partial and "F" for full reviews. Those pesticides for which a partial review has been concluded, but which are nevertheless due for full review, still appear as "under review".
