HC Deb 13 June 1991 vol 192 cc671-2W
Dr. David Clark

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will list the disease quarantine premises he has in the United Kingdom, giving the location in each case, and which animals they are approved for handling; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Gummer

Quarantine is required for three diseases. For foot and mouth there is one quarantine premise at Poole. For rabies there are a number of approved premises throughout the country. For Newcastle disease there are a number of privately owned approved premises. Lists of the premises currently approved for rabies and Newcastle disease are available from the Ministry and I will send a copy to the hon. Member.
