§ Mr. HoltTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what help has been requested of the United Kingdom Government by the Isle of Man legislature or judiciary within the last five years; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Peter Lloyd[pursuant to his reply, 18 March 1991, c. 30]: The Isle of Man legislature or judiciary do not customarily request help from the United Kingdom Government. The Government do, however, regularly receive, and respond to, a wide range of requests from the Isle of Man Government for information, advice and services, in some instances under reciprocal arrangements between the United Kingdom and the island, including in relation to the formulation, scrutiny and operation of 408W provisions of Isle of Man legislation and in relation to the island's system of civil and criminal justice. A central, chronological record of the number and exact nature of such requests is not kept.
