§ Mr. Michael ForsythThe Scottish Office Agriculture and Fisheries Department has a general sponsoring role in relation to the Scottish horticultural industry. This is discharged in a variety of ways and detailed costs are not held centrally.
The Department funds research and development on horticulture at the Scottish Crop Research Institute, Dundee. Since 1981–92, expenditure has been as follows:
