To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many people have been considered for priority under the Homeless Persons (Scotland) Act by Renfrew district council in each year since 1980; and if he will make a statement.

The numbers of households that applied to Renfrew district council under the homeless persons legislation and were assessed as being in priority need are set out in the table. The returns do not record the numbers of persons in these households. Returns for 1990–91 are not yet complete.
