§ Mr. Michael Forsyth[holding answer 3 June 1991]: My Department drew the attention of education authorities in October last year to the revised version of the Health and Safety Commission's approved code of practice which gives practical guidance with respect to the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. In addition my Department is currently preparing guidance on first aid provision in schools and colleges in Scotland which will be issued to education authorities this summer.
