HC Deb 03 June 1991 vol 192 c49W
Mr. Atkinson

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Soviet Government about the number of Soviet exiles and their families who are being denied visas to return to the Soviet Union either as visitors or as representatives of non-governmental organisations to attend conferences; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

None. We are not aware of any Soviet exiles living in Britain who have been denied visas to visit the Soviet Union. If my hon. Friend has any specific cases in mind, we should be happy to look into them.
