§ Mr. Archie HamiltonFull medical cover is provided for all United Kingdom military personnel in Kuwait, including checks on lung function for those in the area of the fires. Medical personnel will return to the United Kingdom with remaining British units. Periodic medical checks will continue to be conducted on service personnel as a matter of routine.
§ Mr. DalyellTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will place in the Library all the public statements of Colonel Brooke of the Royal Engineers on the subject of service men's health in Kuwait.
§ Mr. Archie HamiltonIn the course of his duties Lt. Col. Brooke has given considerable public advice on the hazards of unexploded ordnance in Kuwait and has also been interviewed on a number of occasions about the work of the Royal Engineers there. Transcripts are not available as the MOD does not require detailed records of all public statements made by members of the armed forces.
