HC Deb 03 June 1991 vol 192 cc72-3W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many persons in England and Wales sentenced to life imprisonment have been released on licence in each month of 1990 and 1991 to date; how many years each such person had actually served in prison since conviction; and how many such persons released have since been re-imprisoned for committing a further criminal offence.

Mrs. Rumbold

The numbers of life sentenced prisoners released in each month of 1990 and the time they served is given in the following table. Data for 1991 are not yet available.
