§ Mr. David HuntFrom time to time, the Welsh Office issues advice and guidance to local education authorities on a range of important safety issues, including the provision of first aid in schools and colleges.
In February this year, the Welsh Office—in conjunction with the Department of Education and Science—issued advice to local education authorities following the publication by the Health and Safety Commission of a revised approved code of practice in connection with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations of 1981. A copy of the code of practice is in the Library of the House.
