§ Mr. HurdI visited Turkey from 22–23 July at the invitation of the Turkish Government. I wanted to consolidate our bilateral relations with Turkey by establishing a dialogue with my new Turkish colleague, Safa Giray. I also called on President Ozal, and The Prime Minister, Mesut Yilmaz, and had illuminating talks with both.
