§ Mr. PendryTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list in full the countries other than Italy and Scotland with which his Department has agreed procedures for corresponding offences under section 22 of the Football Spectators Act 1990; and if he will make a statement on the progress of talks regarding the extension of the Football Spectators Act to offences committed(a) in Sweden and (b) in any other country.
§ Mr. Peter LloydAgreements establishing corresponding offences under section 22 of the Football Spectators Act 1989 currently exist only in respect of Italy and Scotland. The Government believe that the establishment of corresponding offences in other countries would be of benefit both to us and to them. We are therefore in the process of seeking to negotiate agreements with a number of countries, including Sweden, although differences in legal systems often make the negotiations complex.
§ Mr. PendryTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the 92 Football League clubs together with the total season's attendance at (A) matches played in the Football League and (B) matches played in the FA cup, Rumbelows' cup, ZDS cup and Leyland DAF cup competitions, with the total numbers of(a) arrests and (b) ejections at each category of such matches and the numbers of (i) arrests, (ii) ejections, and (iii) arrests plus ejections as a percentage of the total attendance at each category of such matches, accurate to four decimal places for each of the seasons 1987–88, 1988–89, 1989–90 and 1990–91; and if he will make a statement on attendance rates and arrest rates at each category of such matches.
