§ Mr. Nicholas BennettReliable information in the form requested is not centrally available for Wales. Some details of dependent children living in households with incomes below 50 per cent. of the average, based on several years' results from the family expenditure survey, were published for Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and regions of England in April 1990 in a study Commissioned by the House of Commons Social Services Committee. This study was carried out by the Institute for Fiscal Studies and titled "Households and families below average income: a regional analysis 1980–85": a copy is in the Library of the House.
