asked Her Majesty's Government:

To list the elements of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary sent to Bangladesh in the recent emergency there specifying, in each case, the duration of the deployment, the "extra" cost generated by that deployment, its full cost and the charge actually made, or to be made, for it by the Ministry of Defence to the Overseas Development Administration.

RFA "Fort Grange", equipped with four Sea King helicopters and six Royal Marine rigid-raider boats, arrived off Bangladesh on 20th May and stayed until 3rd June. The extra cost of the deployment which will be charged to the ODA is currently being assessed. Full costs are not being calculated.
