§ Mr. Nicholas BennettUnder section 20(5)(b) of the Water Act 1989, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State has accepted undertakings relating to the aluminium parameter from these companies appointed by him in respect of the water treatment works shown in the following table:

In addition, undertakings have been accepted covering all water supply zones supplied by Dwr Cymru Cyf and Wrexham and East Denbighshire water company where there is a risk that maximum concentrations or values prescribed in the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 1989 may be exceeded, because of deficiences in the distribution system. The parameters covered include aluminium.
