Mr. Rowlands

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many currently in employment in Wales are (i) male full-time employees, (ii) female full-time employees, (iii) male part-time employees, (iv) female part-time employees, (v) male self-employed and (vi) female self-employed; and what estimate he has of the average wage or salary under each of these categories.

1 Data for part-time males are not available separately from this quarterly series. The results of the Employment Department's Census of Employment indicated that in September 1989 there were 484 thousand full-time and 37 thousand part-time male employees in employment.
