§ Mr. ScottThere is no specific social security benefit available to help people pay their water charges. However, income support is an income-related benefit for people not in full-time work whose income is below a certain level. It is intended to cover all normal day-to-day living expenses and beneficiaries are expected to budget for their water charges in the same way as any other commitment.
