§ Mr. FlynnTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what assistance in regard to contraceptive advice and infant health care is made available by Her Majesty's Government to nations covered by the Lomé convention in the Pacific, Caribbean and Africa.
§ Mrs. ChalkerA specific focus on population and demography is included for the first time in the fourth Lomé convention signed in December 1989, although under earlier conventions the EC financed a number of projects in African, Caribbean and Pacific countries in the health sector. The Commission is now preparing projects reflecting the new focus in co-operation with Governments of African, Caribbean and Pacific countries.
