§ Mr. CartwrightTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received about the activities of Samuel Thomas Antonelli and his company; and what action he has taken.
§ Mr. YeoWe have had 39 representations from hon. Members and a few from leaseholders themselves since January 1988. The representations allege harassment and intimidation in various forms against leaseholders of properties whose freeholds are owned by the companies. The existing statutory framework is intended to protect leaseholders against abuse. Their rights under statute have been explained to them. We nevertheless intend to review the present position to see if any further action is necessary.
