§ Mr. Archie Hamilton[holding answer 4 July 1991]: The defence arms control unit is currently engaged in a wide range of arms control activity, including assisting in the development of United Kingdom and NATO positions on the future of conventional arms control in Europe and negotiations on a chemical weapons convention, and in preparations for the forthcoming biological weapons convention review conference.
