§ Mr. Tim SmithTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he is taking to publicise (i) the availability of the document "Guidelines for Aggregates Provision in England and Wales: Review of MPG6" and (ii) the fact that his Department will take into account the views of interested parties on this document when revising mineral plan guidance note 6.
§ Mr. Yeo[holding answer 17 June 1991]: Following the reply which I gave on 7 May, Official Report, column 401, about this report my Department issued a press release to announce its publication. This has received extensive media coverage. The report has also been made available to a number of interested organisations and individuals. We have made it clear in both the press release and report that we welcome the views of all interested parties on the forecasts. These will be taken into account in the preparation of the revised draft guidelines.
