§ Mr. BellinghamTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he will make a statement about the offices of Northern Ireland Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and Northern Ireland Commissioner for Complaints.
§ Mr. BrookeDr. Maurice Hayes, who has held the two offices since July 1987, will be retiring from them on 31 January 1991 and thereafter will be taking up appointment as the Local Government Boundaries Commissioner for Northern Ireland.
Her Majesty the Queen has appointed, to succeed him in the two offices, Mrs. Jill McIvor. Mrs. McIvor is already deputy chairman of the Radio Authority and will retain that office, but will forgo a part of the salary normally payable for the offices of Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and Commissioner for Complaints equivalent to the salary she receives as deputy chairman.
