To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what requirements are laid on employers in Northern Ireland to ensure that a proportion of their work force is registered disabled.

[holding answer 14 January 1991]: The Disabled Persons (Employment) Act (Northern Ireland) 1945 requires employers with 20 or more employees to employ a 3 per cent. quota of registered disabled people.
