asked Her Majesty's Government:

With reference to their Answer of 4th February (H.L. col. WA38), why a substantial sum of bail money was demanded of Mr. Konda Nsata Pindi an applicant for asylum; on what grounds they consider his detention justified, and how long they expect this to last.

I understand that Mr. Pindi was granted bail at a hearing on 14th February and was released from detention the next day.
