Mr. Wilson

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many smallholdings, by district are rented under the Small Landholders (Scotland) Acts 1886 to 1931; and if he will bring forward proposals to extend them the same rights and protections provided to crofters by the Crofting Reform Act 1976.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

Information relating to holdings belonging to the Secretary of State is set out in the table. The Scottish Office Agriculture and Fisheries Department does not hold details of holdings in private or commericial ownership.
