HC Deb 14 February 1991 vol 185 c569W
18. Mr. Molyneaux

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the security situation in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Brooke

Since I answered a similar question on 17 January there have been two civilian deaths arising from the security situation in Northern Ireland. The police and Army continue to make significant finds of arms and ammunition, and have in recent weeks made several arrests.

26. Mr. Hunter

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he next proposes to meet Ministers of the Government of the Republic of Ireland to discuss the security situation in Northern Ireland.

Mr. Brooke

I expect to discuss security matters with Irish Ministers at the next meeting of the Anglo-Irish Intergovernmental Conference within the next few weeks.
