Mr. John Marshall

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representation he has made to the Soviet Union in respect of applications to leave by(a) Sergei Veprinsky, (b) Alexander Rogach and (c) Alexander Gomelshy, all of Kiev.

We can certainly raise these cases with the Soviet authorities. We have details of the cases of Mr. Veprinsky and Mr. Rogach, but in order to make our representations most effective we shall need further details of Mr. Gomelshy's case.
