§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyTrust boards are made up of equal numbers of executive and non-executive directors plus a chairman. Each non-executive director will receive a remuneration of £5,000 per annum payable from the date of establishment. Remuneration for executive directors will be determined by the Trust Management Board and will be payable from the date of appointment. The chairman of the Freeman group of hospitals and Newcastle mental health national health service trusts will both receive a remuneration of £15,503 from the date of establishment increasing to £15,659 per annum from 1 January 1991.
