HL Deb 05 February 1991 vol 525 cc41-2WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What representations they have made to the Government of Israel about the curfew imposed on the Palestinian inhabitants of the Occupied Territories and Gaza, in particular concerning access to their fields and livestock.

The Earl of Caithness

We are gravely concerned about the impact of the continuing curfew in the Occupied Territories, particularly on agriculture. We have therefore agreed to a proposal for early representations on behalf of the European Community to the Israeli authorities, calling for measures to alleviate the situation.
