§ Dr. MawhinneyThe student loans scheme is administered on a United Kingdom-wide basis by the Student Loans Company and is operating successfully in Northern Ireland. A full-year loan plus grant now gives a student over 30 per cent. more money than did the grant alone in 1989–90.
