§ Mr. Peter LloydWe have no immediate plans to increase police powers in this area. My right hon. Friend has asked the Royal Commission on Criminal Justice to consider the issue and we await its recommendation, but we are most anxious to harness scientific developments effectively in the fight against serious crimes.
