§ Mr. MoynihanThe latest Government initiative to promote the use of wood as fuel is a project to demonstrate the first commercial application of short rotation arable coppice as an energy crop. My Department is also co-funding feasibility studies to promote the use of the residues from forestry operations to fuel power stations with a proposed total installed capacity in excess of 20 MW.
