Gephardt and Representative M. Kopetski in regard to the effect it would have on United Kingdom access to the Nevada nuclear test site for the continued testing of British nuclear warheads.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggUnited Kingdom nuclear tests take place at Nevada under the terms of the agreement between the United Kingdom and United States Governments signed in 1958. The United States Government share our view that, for the foreseeable future, testing will remain essential to maintaining a safe and effective nuclear deterrent.
